An old pal named Devin

About 2 years ago, in a place that some of my friends and I used to go to and have campfires, we met a character. His name was Devin, and he was homeless. He had stumbled upon our fire spot and found it to be a great place for a homeless man to stay. He said he had no problem staying there because "he was raised country," according to him. Now this was not your average everyday homeless guy ( everyday depending on where you live of course). He simply did not have a home because of some problems he had with his fiance's parents. He was always out looking for jobs. He also washed his clothes and himself in the nearest public showers he could find. He told some interesting stories, some very hard to believe, but we didn't care. We had great times sitting around the fire with him, listening and telling all sorts of stories and giving each other's meanings to life and advice. I do miss having him around. He moved to Wisconsin and lives with his brother now. I would like to one day see him again, and have just one more campfire to sit around.

  1. That story was really interesting in a good way. Also it show's that not all homeless people aren't born into poverty but fall into to poverty
