it's a sport again!
I am very happy to say that skateboarding is on its way back to being a sport, and not a Ryan Sheckler lookalike contest. For a very long time, the image of skateboarding was corrupted, and people began to wear what they believed were "skateboarding clothes," and having a so called skateboarder image, and occasionally skated if girls were watching. Not only did 99.9% of these people sucked, but they gave skateboarding a bad name. However, people are not trying to look like skateboarders anymore. The people who do it actually enjoy the sport and skate something other than flat ground. They do it for the sport, and not for the girls or popularity. Yay!

I agree. Ever since the shows "Big and Rob" or the Ryan Sheckler gay show skateboarding got corrupt and everyone would just buy a skateboard for the image instead of for the sport. It actually turned out that most of the people who dressed all "skateboarding" like sucked and the people who you would least expect were amazing. :O
